Prayers Needed

Posted: November 29, 2012 in Uncategorized

Hey, everyone! We could really use your prayers. John’s job is not going so well. The last two paychecks have totaled $14.64 and next week’s probably won’t be a very good one either. We do get food stamps, about $280 a month. So, next week I will be needing God to give me wisdom so I can make that money stretch to cover food for the whole month. We could also use prayers that the paychecks will get bigger. Right now John has been averaging about $2,000 a month, but it costs us $1,000 a month to feed him while he’s at work. That leaves $1,000 a month which really isn’t enough to pay the bills. We could definitely use a miracle right about now!

Now, I’m off to finish NaNoWriMo!

Pain and Agony

Posted: November 24, 2012 in To Do

I woke up this morning with a nasty pain in my lower left side. It’s probably nothing. I tend to get pain around this time (halfway between lady-times) every month. Still, it’s awfully uncomfortable and annoying.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I got to spend more time with John than I expected. Then my friend Carli came over with her sister and her husband. We spent three hours working on our NaNoWriMo novels. Although we probably spent more time talking than writing! It was a lot of fun, though!

I’ve really fallen behind with my NaNo word count. I need to get caught up, but I also need to get my stats and Personality homework finished. I’m hoping that I can find a nice balance this weekend so I make good progress on both fronts.

Here’s my goal list for today:

1) Morning Routine

2) Take John to his truck

3) Kids do their Christmas letters to Santa

4) Put up the Christmas decorations

5) Have the kids start on their Christmas presents

6) Find ten sources for my stats final lit review

7) Write 5,000 words on my novel

8) Evening Routine

Well, I wasn’t going to post a to do list until tomorrow morning. I had been planning on going to bed at 10pm and getting a good, solid 7 hours of sleep. Unfortunately, Remington got sick about 11:30 and I had to get up and clean the floors and tuck him back into bed with a bowl and his water bottle!

So, since I’m up anyways…here is the to do list for the 19th:

1) Morning Routine

2) Workout of some sort

3) Do all of assignment 7 for stats.

4) Scan and submit all stats assignments

5) Do the SPSS part and write up that section of the final project for stats.

6) If time, write 1,667 words so I don’t fall behind with NaNo/

7) Evening Routine

3) Write up “Faith and Reason” and email papers to Dr. Matthews

4) Do Assignment 7 for Stats

5) Scan and upload assignments 3 – 7 for Stats

6) Work on final for Stats if time

7) Evening Routine

NaNo Hold

Posted: November 14, 2012 in To Do

So, my novel is on hold temporarily. Monday’s meeting went pretty well. I get to do practicum if I can get some work for past classes in by the end of November. Right now I’m tackling the four books I have to read to finish up my Independent Study. I’ve completed two of them so far, and I’m three chapters in to the third one. I’m trying to have them all done by the end of Thursday. Then I have to tackle Stats and Personality. Ideally, I want to have everything done by the end of the day on the 21st at the latest. That would give me plenty of time to finish my 50,000 words. Although, as I am sure I’ve said before, I’m not stopping at 50,000 words. I plan to write until the story is done…however long that may be!

With that being said, here is the to do list for the 14th:

1) Morning Routine

2) Take Tiana to school (the nurse has to okay her coming back)

3) Finish reading “Fuzzy Logic”

4) Start reading “Faith and Reason”

5) Boy Scouts meeting

6) Girl Scouts meeting

7) Evening Routine

Yesterday went very well. I finished trimming the edges in the yard, so if it decides to snow the yard will be ready! I also broke 30,000 words! I am doing very well with my writing, and I feel like it’s much better quality than it usually is. Of course, I’m sure when I go back and re-read it in December I will absolutely hate it!

Anyways, here is my to do list for the 12th:

1) Morning Routine

2) 9am Meeting with Bailey & Montagano

3) Pick up tomato sauce for dinner

4) Write to 35,000 words

5) Clean the laundry room for at least 15 minutes

6) Evening Routine
